Much of the course work in IE Business is done in the small study groups, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and cross cultural communication. By rule no more than two students can be from the same country or share the same professional background.  Lectures occur throughout the day, and are largely based on cases previously assigned. Class discussion in paramount to the learning experience, often surrounding various aspects of the case. Cases typically have both qualitative and quantitative dimensions, asking student to take a holistic and thorough approach in analyzing the problem.
